Main duties of the job As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a team dedicated to providing exceptional care and support at our Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and laundry standards in the home, working as part of a team, and operating according to standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry. You will carry out cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understand cleaning requirements for different surfaces and coverings, and ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained. Furthermore, you will treat residents with dignity and respect, ensuring we maintain their personal space and belongings respectfully. The role requires knowledge of Health and Safety practices like Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience with cleaning laundry in a public setting is essential. Compassion, commitment to quality service delivery, and flexibility in covering various responsibilities at short notice are key attributes for success.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions. Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..

Qualifications Essential
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, experience in public laundry cleaning, and the ability to be adaptive and flexible.
