CSSD Operative Full-time (39 hours per week) | Permanent | Candidate Criteria: Qualifications • Hold a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification. • A QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support is desirable. Experience • Proven experience in Decontamination or Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). (Essential) • Proficient in the use of information technology and relevant systems. (Essential) • Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. (Essential) • Excellent organisational and time management skills. (Essential) • Committed to following all health and safety protocols in line with hospital policies. (Essential) • Knowledge and experience of working in an accredited Private Hospital or similar healthcare role. (Desirable) Key Responsibilities: • Demonstrate capacity for leadership responsibility and demonstration of initiative. • Demonstrate team work skills including the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team environment. • Demonstrate motivation and an innovative approach to the job within a changing working environment. • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. • Demonstrate ability to support, supervise, develop and empower staff in changing work practises in a challenging environment within existing resources. • Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management and importance of value for money. • Show a strong degree of self-sufficiency, being capable of advancing proposals and recommending decisions on a proactive basis while actively suggesting improvements and adapting readily to change. Be flexible, team oriented and a relationship builder and have a significant track record of achievement in the area. • Demonstrate the ability to work with multi disciplinary team members. • Have the capacity to lead, organise and motivate staff to function effectively. • Possess the interpersonal skills to facilitate working effectively in teams, while having the ability to give constructive feedback to encourage learning. Particulars of Office Location: Bon Secours Hospital Limerick Grade: CSSD Operative. Appointment: A full time, permanent contract. Annual Salary: €40,710 - €47,588 per annum. Annual Leave Entitlement: 23 Days. Probationary Period: The appointee shall hold office for a probationary period of six months.
