Company: Great Dublin Capital Limited, trading as Cosmo Location: Unit 6, Second Floor, Western End Rotunda, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Dublin Position: Commis Chef (Pastry & Cold Station) Cosmo is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Commis Chef with expertise in pastry and cold kitchen operations to join our vibrant culinary team. Key Responsibilities: As a Commis Chef specialising in pastry, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and presenting a variety of high-quality desserts and cold kitchen items. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to further develop their pastry skills. Your duties will include: • Preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts for daily service. • Portion and plate cold food items according to established standards. Prepare ingredients for service, including washing, cutting, and garnishing. • Monitor freshness and quality of cold food products. • Supporting smooth and efficient kitchen operations. • Maintaining consistency, quality, and attention to detail in all dishes. • Managing the demands of a busy kitchen while ensuring excellent presentation standards. • Adhering to all food hygiene, health, safety, and HACCP requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in a pastry-focused chef role. • Strong commitment to food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety standards. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Formal culinary training or a relevant qualification is preferred. • Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude. • Passion for food, creativity, and a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
