Machine Operator – Poling Gaeltec Utilities is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing Overhead Lines team. Working on overhead line infrastructure projects, including ESB poling activities, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality utility works across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavators (360°) and/or backhoe loaders (180°) within the utilities, construction, or related sectors, along with relevant CSCS qualifications. This role requires a strong commitment to health and safety, flexibility to travel, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Key Requirements: • Proven experience operating excavators and/or backhoe loaders. • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel. • Strong focus on health, safety, and quality standards. • Good communication skills and ability to work on own initiative. • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and short-notice assignments.
