Butcher required to work at Wilson Retail No 2 Limited trading as Wilsons Family Butchers, at Unit 7, Rathfarnham Shopping Centre, Butterfield Avenue, Dublin 14, D14 FH24, Ireland. The applicant must have at least six months of professional experience in a similar butcher role. Duties include cutting or sawing carcasses into manageable portions; removing bones, gristle, surplus fat, rind and other waste materials; cutting carcass parts into chops, joints, steaks and other retail portions; ensuring that all butcher equipment is kept in good working order; taking responsibility for the meat display counter; assisting with the promotion and sale of meat products within the store; preparing marinated chicken for retail customers; butchering large pieces of beef into smaller retail portions; preparing meat for curing or other processing; and cleaning tools and work surfaces in compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
