Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to recruit a full time Ward Clerk to work within the Children's Clinic at Blackpool Teaching hospital. This post is for a full time, permanent contract working Monday - Friday. Children's Clinic is part of the Child Health & Development Directorate helping to support acutely unwell children of the surrounding area.

Main duties of the job
Deliver efficient administrative and clerical services to the Clinic Team.
Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the ward, thereby enhancing patient care.
Ensure all information is secure, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Provide excellent customer service, which may involve communicating with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.
Ensure the professional image of the Trust is upheld at all times.

The postholder will be expected to provide clerical, administrative, and information technology support to medical, nursing, and other staff in relation to the patients within the department. Although primarily based in a specific area or ward, the postholder may be required to work in any part of the trust to cover short-term absences.

Education and Qualification Essential
Minimum of 3 qualifications to include GCSE grade A-C/4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience and Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of IT databases and computer systems Knowledge of Trust procedures
