The role of the relief Childcare Assistant is to assist in the delivery of the Childcare Service to a high standard, so that the children attending the service are supported and cared for. Duties and Responsibilities: To be familiar with and adhere to all of the Policies and Procedures of NW Cornerstone CLG, includingNW Cornerstone CLG Childcare Service Policies & Procedures and the Staff Handbook, at all times To be familiar with and ensure that the service adheres to the National Guidance for the Protection & Welfare of Children, and with the Child Protection Policy & Procedures of NW Cornerstone CLG To adhere to NW Cornerstone CLG Health & Safety Statement and to bring relevant health and safety concerns to the attention of your Line Manager To take guidance from your Line Manager in the delivery of the service To contribute to the warm, friendly atmosphere in the service To work as part of a team to ensure the children get maximum benefit from the service To care for children as they participate in pre-planned activities To co-operate with staff in looking after the care, hygiene and safety of the centre and equipment To assist with administrative tasks including maintaining children’s files, and maintaining financial records, as required. To ensure that your own training is kept up to date, where relevant, and in line with regulations To carry out any other duties allocated by your Line Manager
