About this role

Job summary

As part of the team the qualified post holder will have developed knowledge experience and competency in specialised anatomical pathology techniques. It is a primary role of the post to carry out both routine and advanced post mortem procedures including the preparation of the deceased for viewing, autopsy and police identification. The post holder will provide specialist advice to users of the service within and out with the Trust in a manner commensurate with the sensitive nature of the work.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

3 GCSE's or equivalent qualification

Experience Essential

Experience in a health care setting or funeral service

Skills Essential

Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills Good manual dexterity and co-ordination Ability to work under pressure for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift/move heavy loads and operate equipment Have good attention to detail
