We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking Junior / Assistant Foreperson to join our residential construction team. This is a brilliant entry-level opportunity designed for someone looking to move off the tools or step straight from college into site management. Working directly under the mentorship of an experienced Site Manager, you will learn the ropes of running a busy housing development. Your role will be to act as the Site Manager's "right hand," keeping the site tidy, organized, and moving forward while learning how to manage trades and enforce safety standards. Help organize and supervise small teams of subcontractors and laborers to keep daily tasks on track. Be the point of contact on-site for receiving, checking, and signing off on material deliveries; ensure materials are safely stored where they are needed. Quality Control & Snagging Learn how to read construction drawings and specifications to ensure work matches the plans. Take charge of the "snagging" process—walking through houses to spot defects, recording them, and ensuring the trades fix them promptly. Assist the Site Manager in taking progress photos and keeping records required for building control (BCAR). Site Health, Safety & Housekeeping Ensure the site is kept clean, tidy, safe, and organized at all times to prevent accidents. Assist with daily safety checks, ensuring all site workers are wearing the correct PPE (Hard hats, high-vis, safety boots). Check that new workers on site have their Safe Pass and CSCS cards before they start. Requirements (Qualifications & Experience) Experience: 0–2 years of experience on a construction site. Attributes & Skills: Attitude: High energy, reliable, punctual, and eager to learn on the job. Communication: Good communication skills and the confidence to speak up and direct laborers or subcontractors. Tech Savvy: Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for basic apps, emails, and taking photos. What We Offer Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 per annum (Depending on experience/background). Full hands-on mentorship and training from senior construction professionals. PPE provided. 21 days annual leave.
