Job summary
The Comprehensive Emotional Care Team are part of the wider Community Mental Health Services that cover the North Lincs locality. This post is based with the Complex Emotional Needs pathway working with individuals with complex needs such as complex trauma and depression.
The post holder will work as a member of the multi-professional team providing high quality healthcare support, assisting in medication reviews and completing physical health checks with clients including ECGs, Blood Pressure readings and phlebotomy.
You will be required to travel independently to client's homes across North Lincolnshire.
If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification. Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.
Main duties of the job
Undertake agreed activities as delegated by a registered nurse, with patients / service users under the direct /In-direct supervision of the qualified staff. Contributes to the implementation and delivery of individualised evidence-based care. To maintain accurate records electronically, record new problems as they are identified and report all actions to nurse in charge. The post holder is required to take personal responsibility to incorporate the 6 C vision of care into their care delivery. Provide feedback of current patient / service user status to appropriate members of the-professional team. Develop a rapport with patients / service users and encourage them to participate in their plan of care. Work in partnership with patients/carers and multi-agency teams to promote Health and independence. Assist the relevant professional during assessment / treatment / intervention where required. Support the patient / service user to make use of available services and facilities. Organise and run testing events and in partnership with other agencies. To obtain follow up bloods from patients with poor venous access. Following Health and Safety regulations, promote where possible a safe Environment.
