Job Title:Lead Pharmacy Technician - Dispensary Services Salary: Competitive (Band 6 equivalent, TLC Point 23-29)
Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London W1G 6BW
Job Type: Full-time, 12 Month FTC Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Sunday as rostered)
The Role: We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Pharmacy Technician/ Deputy Dispensary Manager to take a senior role within our Dispensary & Distribution Services team.
This is 12 month fixed term position is responsible for leading, managing and coordinating a safe, efficient and high-quality, technician-led dispensary service.
You will work autonomously, using your initiative to plan, prioritise and manage dispensary operations, while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, procedures and legislation. You will also deputise for the Dispensary & Distribution Manager when required.

Key Duties: Dispensary Management:
Lead and manage pharmacy technicians and assistants within the dispensaryEnsure efficient workflow and workload management across dispensary servicesOversee safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medicationsUndertake final accuracy checking of dispensed items (ACPT qualified)Provide medication counselling and drug information within scope of practiceSupport clinical trials dispensing in line with GCP and regulatory standardsMaintain accurate records for controlled drugs, unlicensed medicines and named-patient suppliesInvestigate dispensing errors, incidents and complaints, implementing improvementsMonitor adherence to SOPs and contribute to service development initiatives
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent)Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualificationMinimum 3 years' post-registration experience in hospital pharmacyAt least 2 years' supervisory or management experienceStrong knowledge of medicines legislation, governance and risk managementExperience in stock control, SOP development and audit processesExcellent communication, leadership and organisational skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Benefits We offer a range of benefits including flexible working and excellent career development opportunities.
