Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Theatres (ACCT) Education team for a Clinical Practice Educator for Critical Care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support the learning needs of the staff on Critical Care.
The successful candidate will be working with a dedicated team of professionals who deliver both bespoke and mandatory training to our staff on the Critical Care unit.
You will support new starters on our induction programme and will support staff to achieve their STEPS competencies. You will also co-ordinate and support students on placement within Critical Care and be a clear link for further education within ACCT.

Main duties of the job
Coordination, support and development of ongoing training for critical care teams.
Liaison with the relevant Higher Education Institute(s) to ensure that placement requirements are being met to support all students within critical care.
Support and development of assessors and supervisors in practice.
Provision of clinically based education with the critical care areas supporting critical care staff.
Additionally the post holder will undertake other teaching and learning activities that enhance the development of both high quality patient care and a highly skilled, competent workforce.
NB - the teaching of clinical and non-clinical mandatory training sessions is also a strong element of this post.
