Pharmacy Technician (Full-time or Part-time)
Brayford Medical Practice, Lincoln
Brayford Medical Practice is a well-established, supportive city practice with a stable team and a patient list of approximately 10,800. We are seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join us on a permanent basis, with flexibility for full-time or part-time hours.
This is a key role within the practice, focused on safe, efficient medicines management and supporting both clinicians and patients.
The role
Medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge and clinic letters Processing repeat prescriptions and resolving medication queries Supporting medication safety, audits, and quality improvement work Liaising with community pharmacies, care homes, and secondary care Work closely with our in-house pharmacist and team of PCN pharmacists Supporting structured medication reviews alongside the clinical team Helping to improve prescribing systems and reduce administrative burden
You will work within a clearly defined scope, with support from GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Job Purpose
To lead and manage medicines processes within the practice, ensuring safe, efficient prescribing systems and reducing GP workload through structured medicines management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage repeat prescribing processes end-to-end Perform medicines reconciliation from hospital/clinic letters Resolve medication queries from patients and pharmacies Support prescribing safety and audits Maintain accurate clinical records Work closely with our in-house pharmacist and team of PCN pharmacists Liaise with MDT and external providers
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Essential Qualified Pharmacy Technician GPhC registered Experience in primary care or medicines management Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously within defined scope Good communication skills
Desirable
Desirable Experience with SystmOne Primary care network experience Audit or QI involvement
