Main duties of the job The role of a Housekeeper at Castleholme Lodge involves creating a safe and clean environment for individuals with mental health conditions. As a key part of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitor areas. You will work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and security within the hospital, adhering to relevant policies and procedures. The role also involves developing strong relationships with staff, service users, and visitors while being open to undertaking additional tasks as required. To excel in this role, prior experience in a similar cleaning environment, effective communication, and good attention to detail are essential.

As a Housekeeper you will be:
Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital. An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation. Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner. Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users. Helping create a positive culture. Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post. Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare. To be successful in this role, you will:

Location: Castleholme Lodge, 4 Bryan Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD2 2AH Castleholme Lodge is situated in Huddersfield with excellent transport links to the surrounding areas.
Castleholme Lodge is a mixed Gender 20 bed Care Home with nursing, providing a range of mental health services for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. It is part of a cluster of Elysium Healthcare services across the Yorkshire and Midlands region that work closely together in support of each others.

Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment. Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done. Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
