Within Group Trademarks and Brand Related IP - a part of Sandvik’s Legal Function – we register, defend and enforce trademarks, domain names and copyright all over the world to create business value for the organization. We are now looking for a Trademark Paralegal to join our team in Stockholm. Your mission – Enhance performance and competitiveness through legal expertise In this position, you are an important member of our team and involved in all brand related IP matters, where you support our Legal Counsels and the manager in all areas of our responsibility. Managing trademark clearances, online brand protection, copyright applications and provisional refusals are tasks included in your work. You are also responsible for office actions as well as managing external legal counsels and law firms in a cost-effective manner. Furthermore, you assist in the implementation of policies and procedures and we expect you to conduct appropriate legal training of relevant stakeholders. As this is a new position in our organization, you have a great opportunity to shape the scope of the role based on the needs of our team members and stakeholders. Your character – A driven individual with a structured, accurate and team-oriented mindset We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in law, and experience from working in an IP law firm or as an IP Paralegal in an industrial company. You have very good knowledge of the trademark process, from name proposal to granted registration, along with experience working directly with WIPO, USPTO and EUIPO. Further, you have knowledge and experience of copyrights and brand related IP enforcement, good knowledge of opposition proceedings as well as trademark clearance searches. Any additional experience of working with SAP Frontend and skills in using the IP management system Ipendo Platform are advantageous. We operate in an international environment, which calls for fluency in both written and verbal English, and we consider skills in other languages beneficial.
