Main duties of the job As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, your role is to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. You'll handle various tasks within the care home, including maintenance work inside the building and in the garden areas. This could involve fixing plumbing issues, planting, leading a team, and supporting budget planning with the General Manager. Coordination with outside contractors for specialized jobs is also part of the role. Ensuring the well-being of residents is a top priority, and sensitivity towards their needs is essential. Hands-on property maintenance experience and at least one trade skill are required.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Hands-on experience of property maintenance, at least one trade skill, full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
