Job summary

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Services Team located at Royal Oldham Hospital

We are recruiting for 15hrs (Monday - Friday - 17.00 - 20:00)

The successful post holder will be part of a team working within our Estates & Facilities department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service. The Domestic Services Helpdesk Operator is an important member of the team who helps provide a range of duties across the hospital in a professional manner.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties will be to operate the Trust wide Domestic Helpdesk, You will also be required to providesecretarial service to Domestic Operations Managers including undertaking all general clerical duties within the department, including word processing of correspondence, reports, forms etc. Ensure all staff are invited to attend mandatory training, keeping records, and formulating databases/spreadsheets using Microsoft Access/Excel Dealing with telephone enquiries from internal staff, outside agencies and members of the public. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level 1 functional skills in English, Maths and IT

Desirable

NVQ Level 1 in cleaning or equivalent

Knowledge Essential

Demonstrate an understanding of the Helpdesk / Administrator role within a healthcare setting

Desirable

Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH policies

Experience Desirable

Previous Domestic Experience with the hospital /care setting Experience working in a Office environment or Administration experience

Skills Desirable

Can demonstrate good levels of computer literacy
