Your Skills As far as your skills, we’d love to hear about: At least 2 years of software development experience with Java or Scala Experience of working with REST services Experience of working with relational databases Good understanding of data structures and algorithms Good English skills, oral and written Other components in the tech stack we use at Truecaller: Scala, Lightbend stack Play framework Google Cloud Platform Reactive systems Cassandra Apache Kafka Kubernetes Docker Spark Your Mission As a Software Engineer you will take on lots of responsibilities in Truecaller’s backend development and maintenance. Your challenge will be to build a scalable and reliable system which serves more than 100 million daily active users. This will include developing high-volume, low-latency application and coping with the challenge of working in a distributed environment. You will also be coding new features and have an active role in the definition of the backend architecture; which includes designing microservices and exploring new solutions and technologies together with the platform team.
