You’ll need to have; ● Experience leading cross functional software engineering teams in a fast paced, delivery focused environment. ● Strong track record of delivery of influential software, preferably in complex business models and high transaction environment. ● Strong people management skills ● Strong collaboration and coordination skills. ● Self driven and curiosity in mindset ● Stakeholder management ability. ● Solid experience in acting independently coupled with strong collaboration and coordination skills We are looking for someone who can: ● Inspire, lead, shape and grow a software engineering organization (Domain) consisting of a cluster of teams with common overall agenda. ● Able to lead through leaders. ● Foster healthy debates on both the business and engineering sides including design and architecture. Able to absorb views, filter suitable from less suitable ideas and navigate the domain to the “safe shores” of success. ● Able to “hold your ground” in a technical discussion. Provoke and challenge teams’ decisions with questions to ensure quality and pragmatism. You are expected to actively contribute to architectural decisions as you hold the “big picture” view. ● Drive continuous improvement focusing on quality in own domain and cross domains. ● Manage and drive procurement for third party products that your teams depend on ● Scope and own a domain problem space, articulate and develop fact based argumentation and present it to senior management or CXOs, develop vision and mission statement for the domain with focus on Engineering principles and targets. ● Prioritise and optimise for highest speed in execution ● Take calculated risks, anchor with different stakeholders and articulate short and long term consequences ● Continuously develop relationships between product, engineering and key stakeholders within the domain and across domains. ● Translate business needs into capability build up and hiring plans in own domain ● Play a key role in helping us continue attracting, developing and retaining great engineering talent. ● Act swiftly to change of direction, re-evaluate priorities and steer teams accordingly ● Manage the budget for the domain and dependencies Who we are Klarna is Europe's fastest growing and most exciting financial technologies (FinTech) company valued at over $2.5bn and we’re growing by 40% a year.
