Role Summary: GE Healthcare Bioprocess Software is looking for a Software Engineer to work on a number of exciting projects that will have a very positive impact on GE’s business. We are looking for someone that is willing to take on a wide area of software engineering tasks and do not hesitate to learn new areas when needed. Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for programming a feature and/or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but works independently. In this role you will: Act as a member of the Software department, representing the face of high quality design and development practices Develop high performing and innovative applications Collaborate with system engineers, front-end developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions Apply principles of software development and methodologies like Agile, Continuous Integration,Software and Product Security, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques (BDD/TDD) Develop software solutions that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project Understand performance parameters and assess application performance Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice If you have questions regarding the position, please contact recruiting manager Frederik Isacsson ( [email protected] / +46 702673625). Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education First working experience from a similar role, but we would even consider candidates who have recently finalized their university studies Desired Characteristics: Experience developing applications for control and monitoring of instrument hardware Experience developing windows and or web- applications (C, C++, C# .NET, Java) Experience with front-end technologies such as WPF, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, etc. Experience with modern tooling (MS TFS/VSTS, Perforce and/or Git)
