SWEDISH RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA MUSIC DIRECTOR DANIEL HARDING Audition information Date: February 8th-9th, 2019 Place: Stockholm, Sweden Compulsory works • J. Haydn: Cello Concerto D-Major , 1st movement with cadenza. • Schumann or Dvorak: Cello Concerto ,1st movement. • Orchestral excerpts from the enclosed collection. • Ensemble. Music will be presented later on, together with the invitation. The employment We offer a fulltime and permanent contract. Berwaldhallen is the home of two of the world's leading ensembles - the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Choir. Through concerts and tours all over the world as well as recordings we have become important ambassadors for Swedish music and culture both nationally and internationally. Our ensembles attract the foremost conductors and soloists, such as our current internationally well-established Chief Conductors Daniel Harding. Application Last day of application is November 23rd, 2018. Applicants who would like to participate in the audition, are welcome to apply via this form. To qualify for the audition, you are also asked to send us an audio+video MP4-file on “wetransfer”, no later than November 23rd, containing the following pieces and orchestral excerpts from the enclosed collection: J.S. Bach : Solo Cello Suites no. 3-6, Prelude and one additional movement of your choice. Orchestra excerpts: Strauss, from Don Quixote, Theme + variation 1 up to figure 19.
