About this role

Role Summary: Renewable Energy is a growing business with many challenges in Supply Chain. One key to our future success is to develop tomorrow’s supply chain leaders. These leaders must have a solid technical foundation in areas such as Lean, Six Sigma, systems understanding, supplier development, plant processes, etc. Essential Responsibilities: As the business identifies skill development needs, there will be a parallel need to have a leader who can help develop a curriculum, trainers, coordinate with 3rd Party trainers, etc. This leader will need to be adept at interacting with all levels of the organization to recruit trainers, align training with needs, communicate and present to senior leaders. TRAINING KIT Develop, maintain and optimize a standard architecture, formalization and contents of training kits Ensure quality of languages used Develop qualified list of trainers for each topic (internal or external) from which to build a skill, conduct training, develop materials, train secondary trainers, etc. Work with the senior Management team on the different training initiatives Mentor, challenge and influence the organization on training needs SKILLS MATRIX/ASSESSMENT For each training topic, develop key individual attributes desired and assess skill against those attributes Conduct before/after assessments to ensure positive outcomes Identify strengths and weaknesses to develop customized solutions GOOD PRACTICES Work with other training organizations across REN and GE to identify and adapt/share best practices to speed implementation and effectiveness COMMUNICATION Develop internal communication on events, updates on training, assessments, share successes, etc. Ensure all users get the right and necessary information Organize event like Lean Experience/Academy Create a community and influence within supply chain organization Structure and manage IT/digital tool: Box, Yammer, intranet… Qualifications/Requirements: Major experience in a variety of supply chain roles Exposure/understanding/expertise in a variety of manufacturing techniques, quality initiatives and systems, Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Understanding and experience driving change across different cultures. Understanding how different cultures learn and adapt Demonstrated effective interpersonal & intercultural collaboration Capacity to write in fluent English EU Work Permit Desired Characteristics: Excellent communication & negotiation skills Ability to work in a matrix structure Ability to listen, collect the right data quickly and consolidate in a common view Multi-lingual (many are relevant to REN) Expert in some aspect of Suppy Chain to draw experience, credibility, perspective
