Leadership experience (both formal and informal) Experience leading/mentoring other technical professionals Experience of low volume, high mix manufacturing Educational Qualifications required for the position: A solid academic education at Doctor Level is required in the field of machining. Additional Requirements Preferred location is Eskilstuna Candidate must be willing to travel frequently both regionally and globally (approximately 50% of time) Fluency in English is required, other languages are a plus Job Summary The objective of the job is to lead the transition in to virtual process planning for machining and improve machining productivity through tool wear and dynamics as well as CAM optimization on a global perspective within Volvo CE. Create competitive advantage, drive step-change in process planning methodologies through method improvements and develop and drive implementation roadmaps. Main Tasks Develop Machining processes and process planning methodologies towards virtual process planning.
