German as a plus INTRODUCTION Volvo Construction Equipment Purchasing & Supplier Management is looking for a Lead buyer, located either in Eskilstuna (Sweden), Konz (Germany), or Belley (France) for the Deutz portfolio. ROLE DESCRIPTION Member of the Deutz Commercial team on behalf of the Volvo Group toward Deutz AG. Lead Purchasing activities for new product development, serial production and aftermarket/spare parts based on the sourcing strategies and the business requirements Optimize the total cost and assure the QDC objectives of the purchased items You will be responsible for: Responsible for the Deutz purchasing portfolio both in projects, serial production and aftermarket Support the Deutz Key account with Business relationship enhancement Conduct Business Reviews meetings with Deutz (meeting to review the overall supplier performance) Perform the activities required for the portfolio : optimize TCO (price, quality, logistics, manufacturing), investments, RFQ’s, negotiations (in line with Commodity Team) while ensuring product life cycle parts availability from the supplier Negotiate Long Term Agreements (LTA), containing Frame Work Agreement (FWA) based on our Volvo General Purchasing Conditions (VGPC), Warranty-, QDC-, Development agreement Manage the working commercial relationships with Deutz for all sites Work closely with and support the plant operations team for supplier related QD issues Manage Purchase invoices discrepancies Is part of PMT regarding product modifications/cost rationalization Manage serial production changes (ECN) Is responsible for prototype sourcing in terms of QDC Support Project leaders in reaching project targets with its supplier base (Planning, target cost, technical proposals) Jointly work with SD to secure application of SD toolkit Contribute to commodity strategies and to the achievement of P&SM KPIs targets Escalate issues according to escalation process Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviors Your authorities will be: Contribute to the sourcing strategy for the Deutz portfolio together with key stakeholders and Key account Negotiate all main supplier contracts (FWA, QDC, Development, Warranty...)
