About this role
• PhD plus 5 years ‘experience or Master of Science plus 10 years of experience • Previous experience in project management is desirable • Solid competence in biopolymers in particular lignin • Proven experience in R&D project planning and management • Capable to work at lab and pilot; solid understanding of analytical chemistry • Fluent in English • Business acumen • Basic financial understanding Personality traits & Other abilities: • Team player but also capable of working independently with decision making capability • Good communication skills in both writing and oral • Accurate • Strong analytical skills and problem solving capability • Innovative • Open minded • Design, carry out, conclude and report R&D work in projects that serve the strategy and goals set by the respective area • Educate and supervise technicians running the practical activities • Ensure safety and efficient working practices • Lead junior researchers – technical management • Cooperation with external R&D partners and providers • Lead in their area of expertise in selected projects In Stora Enso Biomaterials, we develop innovative and sustainable solutions enhancing the well-being of the people and the planet.
