Experience and skills • At least a few years of experience in a similar role • Understanding of core principles of animation and how they translate to games • Strong knowledge of Maya or equivalent 3D program, RenderMan, Vray or similar renderer programs, After Effects and Photoshop • Experience from game development • Strong understanding of the animation development pipeline, including storyboarding, block-in and polish • Creative and innovative to find solutions which maximizes the game experience in relation to the technical limitations • Self-driven, responsible and detail-oriented person • Ability to tackle challenges and solve problems with a strong sense of ownership • Strong passion for making the best gambling experiences ever • Ability to work closely with many other disciplines and be a team player Valuable characteristics • Previous experience from the gambling industry • Solution-oriented with an innovative and creative thinking The 2D/3D Animator role is to manage all aspects of 3D production and 2D animation in relation to game flows and animations. It includes the following key responsibilities: Responsibilities • Work closely with artists, other animators and programmers to collaboratively bring characters and objects to life • Create models and rigging them to be used for different game assets e.g. symbols, characters and buildings • Texture the models in such a way that the style of the game is kept solid • Use source files prepared by the Artists • Create and implement high-quality in-game 2D and 3D animations • Use lightning effects and rendering technics to bring the most out of the 3D animations • Create intricate but conceptually sound animations that enhance the player experience • Creatively and proactively solve resource-restricted tech challenges while working on the art assets that make it in game To ensure we stay ahead of our competitors and continue to build fantastic mobile casino games, which are enjoyed by over two million players so far, ELK Studios is now looking for a talented 2D/3D Animator to join our studio in Stockholm.
