One of the doers we are looking for is an Application Engineer for Applied Machining. In this position, you are based in our brand-new office at Regeringsgatan, in the heart of Stockholm, and you work together with a dynamic team and in close cooperation with our customers all over the world. Job Summary As Application Engineer for Applied Machining, you operate as a central hub in the intersection of UX, engineering and product development. Together with our application team, you support both internal and external tech centers with applied digital solutions; developing an agile collaboration environment within Sandvik globally. Your responsibilities • Working seamlessly with teams inside CODE to deliver commercial products from prototype to finalized solution • Applying CNC engineering principles and practices to digital auxiliary tools • Supporting a motivated multi-geography team to develop cutting edge prototyping solutions to target manufacturing pain points • Building a customized machining environment at the Applied Application Center; showcasing the value of digital innovations and demonstrating end-to-end best practices for IT and OT in manufacturing environments • Forming dynamic teams through engaging competences in existing Productivity and Application centers to serve different customers and industries • Working closely with production sites to promote digital transformation • Developing machining analysis through connected machines • Engaging in digital machining activities with machine tool builders and other industrial partners Your skills and qualifications You have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in machining, CNC programming and digital systems (MTConnect, DMDII, CAM and equivalent) and a deep understanding of CAD, CAM, CAPP and CMM. Since we act on a global scale, you have fluent skills in both written and verbal English.
