About this role
In this role you will develop sales within the respective sales Region (Benelux & Nordics countries) of Cell Analysis Equipments (High/Super resolution microscopes & high content screening systems). Essential Responsibilities: • Prospecting for new customers in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business and to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales • Exploring actively new opportunities together with the respective Account Managers & Cell Analysis Application Specialist based in Denmark and follow up by setting meetings, actively leveraging the matrix organization to be successful • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations & tenders, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also possibly department heads or C-level personnel • Maintaining satisfactory aftersales relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs • Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicate current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field and/or equivalent knowledge/experience • Previous Life Sciences high-end capital equipment sales experience and proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a Life Science environment • Commercial experience with a field based role and proven effective sales record in previous positions • High degree of self-motivation and prioritization skills • Ability to work in a team oriented environment • Fluency in English (spoken and written) as well as excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills • Expertise in several of the following areas strongly preferred: • Widefield or Confocal Microscopy • Fluorescence imaging • Digital Image analysis • High Content Screening • This role requires a minimum of 60% travel (domestic and international, mainly in his territory) Candidates from the Benelux are preferred, but Nordics will also be considered.
