Regular engineering tasks like produce design solutions that meets a given requirement specification, e.g. technical performance, manufacturability, standardization, part number reduction, environmental affect, cost reduction, service- and maintainability, are of course part of the work. The Volvo cab is where drivers spend a lot of time in their daily work. We are now looking for a Design Engineer, Cab & Operators Environment with focus on 12-48V (ELV) systems and electrical installation to support our future development towards electro mobility. A designer’s main tasks are to create and deliver correctly, completely and clear documented design solutions. The aim is to produce design solutions that balance technical performance, manufacturability and material cost so that the product will be profitable for Volvo CE, and that we are considered as the No 1 choice by our customers.
