Who are you? To be successful in this role you have a university degree in chemistry and/or food science. You have several years of professional experience from food or pharmaceutical industry. You have extensive knowledge in food safety management systems (FSSC22000, ISO, etc.) and HACCP, furthermore you have GMP knowledge and experience from working in a regulated environment. You also have experience in laboratory techniques and method of analysis. We expect you to have strong project management skills and you are a strong promoter of quality in the management team and the site and you are also able to communicate with different levels of the organisation (from shop floor to top management). You take initiative to propose changes and work with motivation and enthusiasm towards quality. As a person you have strong analytical skills. You are observant and proactive on dealing with different situations. You can work under stress and you are able to manage crisis situations if needed. You have good communication skills to engage internally and externally in the organization and you can influence teams and people on doing the next step in quality. About the position As Quality Manager Site Karlshamn you will lead and coordinate all internal site quality functions in an efficient and effective way. AAK Site Karlshamn internal quality functions consist of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Production Quality group. You will work as part of the site management team and collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing and other function to secure and deliver the highest quality and food safety standards for our products. You will assure compliance with local and corporate QA/QC policies and procedures as well as local regulations. You will further implement and improve the quality and food safety systems in the plant to ensure that products and processes meet standards of quality and food safety. Main responsibilities include: Being an active member of the site management team Setting and communicating priorities to the Quality team(s) Being responsible for aligning team resources to achieve quality strategy and Site Karlshamn KPIs Provide overall guidance and expertise (quality, analytical, etc) to the team working together with other AAK Sites and Global Quality Team Being responsible for team resources including training performance management, development and engagement of team. Accountability for managing site Quality budget and CAPEX related to quality and laboratory Perform prevention activities and issue resolution when needed Provide training and programs for quality and food safety Being responsible for internal audits (GMP & HACCP) Prepare external customer audits with team and support supplier auditing if needed Contribute in continuous improvement activities & projects Facilitate and assist in CAPA programs and actions Maintain and further improve site quality certifications Challenge team(s) on achieving the next step in performance Define inefficiencies and support on structuring processes Support the team on evaluating data (NCs, production data, complaints, etc.) and drive targeted improvements within the sites Support implementation of Electronic Quality Management System by group QA Lead and/or support projects, representing QA function, at group level or site level Support on the implementation of AAK Global Quality Strategy defined by group QA The position is based in Karlshamn, Sweden.
