Performance & Calibration department develops the optimized functionality in the control systems for engines and powertrains for several products of the Volvo Group. This covers the whole chain from hardware related parameters, electric hardware parameters, sensor parameters, engine controls parameters function, exhaust after treatment parameters, diagnostic parameters and functional testing in these areas. The successful candidate will work in our Performance Calibration Engine team. The group is responsible for the calibration of engine related functions. The team consists of 21 passionate people with a good atmosphere and customer focus and we are now looking for a person to expand the team. Main Responsibilities In this role you will calibrate the engine functions to meet defined customer requirements (such as emission demands, fuel consumption, drivability, etc). This is done by engine testing, simulations and using analysis tools (calculation models) together with the advanced engineering-, design - and controls group. Experimental work in vehicle and method development will also be a part of the work. Expeditions in warm and cold climate are also included. Coming emission legislation requires development of advanced control strategies together with an optimized hardware. You will be an important contributor in this development.
