Competence Profile & Qualifications The Enterprise Information Architect needs to have: Ability to create a successful working climate with all functions within Connected Solutions, other Volvo Group entities as well as with customer and partners in the end to end value chain Be proficient in Information management and data architecture at enterprise level E2E Have good understanding of technical matters to a depth sufficient to drive requirements for implementation Have experience with Information / Data Management or Business Intelligence Maturity Models Ability to work in a collaborative project environment directing or supporting the work on data architecture tasks Ability to build data stewardship and data ownership capabilities across the enterprise Strong knowledge of information architecture, data integration design patterns and preferably experience from Analytics/BI cloud computing Data and process modeling skills at conceptual, logical, and physical levels Ability to maintain an enterprise data dictionary and eliminate redundant or conflicting definitions GDPR experience preferred Project management skills preferred Experience with agile delivery methodologies preferred We believe the successful candidate has operational experience from working in a global business environment. Connected Solutions is a newly established unit that lead the development of the Volvo Group’s connected solutions and supporting capabilities to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness in the area. We are now looking for an Enterprise Information Architect to be leading the Information Management practices and data protection compliance area at Connected Solutions. Position Summary As Enterprise Information Architect you will be overall responsible to provide vision, strategies and tactical leadership in the information management domain. This will be done in alignment with business strategy and ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection regulations. You will be leading the governance of the company's data and information assets where establishment and promotion of effective processes and a culture for strong data/information quality is important. You will be collaborating with other departments within Connected Solutions such as Security, Innovation Lab, Consumer Services and Technology to make sure the optimal data architecture and technology systems are in place to create an environment that makes data and information accessible with appropriate access controls. On a Volvo Group enterprise level you will be working with other peers having responsibilities in information management, data privacy and protection compliance at different Volvo Group Truck Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions. You will be working from our office located in the Swedish center of emerging vehicle technologies at Lindholmen, Gothenburg. You will report to the Director of the Enterprise Architecture function at Connected Solutions. Key Responsibilities As Enterprise Information Architect and GDPR Data Protection Representative, your key responsibilities are: Lead and drive Information Management strategy and practices including owning and leading GDPR compliance at Connected Solutions Set Connected Solutions policies and standards and secure alignment with Volvo Group ones while ensuring Connected Solutions adherence to decided policies and directives Support increased efficiency in access and use of data for various business process functions Drive framework for maintaining compliance, control and improving quality in the information landscape including keeping data catalogues up to date Take part in technical, information management, quality assurance and data privacy compliance governance fora and related activities Manage the process of data subject rights requests with guidance from the Volvo Group Data Protection Office Promote and drive the implementation of data protection measures such as “Privacy by design” in upcoming projects within Connected Solutions and change requests performed Lead education and ensure awareness of information management and GDPR compliance needs Support the Volvo Group procedures put in place to manage violations of data security Create roadmaps and plans for your area For further information about the position, please contact: Tobias Sternvik, Director, Enterprise Architecture, +46 73 902 62 61 The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines under the leading brands Volvo, Renault Trucks, Mack, UD Trucks, Eicher, SDLG, Terex Trucks, Prevost, Nova Bus, UD Bus, Sunwin Bus and Volvo Penta.
