Position Description As a Feature Leader you will define the future vision and set the road map of Maintainability for Heavy Duty Trucks segment. Your passion for technology and holistic view combined with workshop knowledge will secure that we deliver world class up-time to our customers. In product projects you will be responsible for translating feature targets into requirements, contributing to concept selection, reporting the feature status during feature reviews and updating the verification and validation plan. You will deliver status reports to the gate openings, including approvals or proposals and requests for modifications of technical solutions. Main tasks Translate Customer feature targets to transport solution requirements Conduct objective and subjective evaluations of the Customer feature Deliver and report feature and verification status prior to the gate openings (within Feature Reviews), including approvals or proposals and requests for modifications Estimate feature risks, needs for verification activities and test support (virtual testing, mock-ups, prototypes, parts, mules), resulting in additional Sub V&V Plan inputs Evaluate the need for Competitor Vehicle Analysis or other bench-marking activities in order to always know the competitiveness of current products Contribute to the development of common test methods, support the development of feature knowledge and anchor this knowledge in dedicated documentation tool Within Feature Coordination Teams (FCT), contribute to update the Feature Development Plans reflecting main expected Feature Changes and needs for requirement build in the near, the medium-distant and the far future Continuously improve knowledge about the Customer feature by driving development actions (knowledge about customer needs, virtual & physical test methods, technical solutions Propose and/or carry out support Advanced Engineering projects related to the feature For more information please contact Karl-Henrik Sandborg, Director AMT Site & Project Office GOT, +46 31 3223655 The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines under the leading brands Volvo, Renault Trucks, Mack, UD Trucks, Eicher, SDLG, Terex Trucks, Prevost, Nova Bus, UD Bus, Sunwin Bus and Volvo Penta.
