We design and optimize the Production Logistics supply chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products and drive the Sales & Operations Planning process. We are now looking for Transport Material Responsible to our Premium/LSS department. The person should be the link between carriers and goods receiver, secure the delivery of goods to correct location at the correct time and be a central point of contact for handling daily demands of the receiver. This person has a clear and action oriented mindset that can contribute and generate value for the Volvo Group by driving quality and improvements towards a holistic target. You will report to: Manager Premium/LSS Gothenburg, Transport Material Key responsibilities: Organize express transports together with your team Proactively identify deviations by monitoring the system Inform receivers (immediately) of the deviations Act as central point of contact to handle all operational issues, reported deviations and receiver requests Cooperate with the stakeholders Represent the department in operational meetings Identify and eliminate waste in our processes (continuous improvement) On-call duty outside office hours The location of this position will be in Gothenburg, occasional travel may be required.
