Qualifications: Minimum BSc engineering education in Electric or Electronics engineering Experience within the automotive industry with, particular skills in product development Technical experience within Low voltage systems, electrical power management, power generation, energy storage, EMC, distribution & Installation skills are especially valued Solid knowledge of Volvo systems and processes Fluent in English, both written and spoken Are we the perfect match? The task of the group is to secure quality for various electrical components, electrical power management and control units. In our global responsibility we co-operate with our sites in India, Poland, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as with our Volvo-owned brands Prevost and Nova. We’re developing and defining the new work methods, with the intention of becoming an even higher performing team. What can we offer? You will contribute to world class development of future transport solutions. You will lead development of Low Voltage System, and take on a significant role in the future development of our new bus models and optimization of present models. The role spans from system requirement specifications to supporting component designers in the details. You will work in all ongoing engineering projects and be involved in all phases of the product development process, from advanced engineering to aftermarket. Main area of responsibility: You will be a part of the Electrical & Electronics Component Chassis Group within the Electrical & Electronics Development Department. The responsibility area covers 0-48 V, electrical power management, power generation, energy storage, distribution & installation.
