Knowledge and abilities needed The position requires very high analytical and problem solving skills. We use advanced software to do the analysis, requiring some familiarity with more advanced analysis or programming. The job also requires high communication skills and it is important to be able to collaborate easily with members of the project teams as well as together with other analysts. It is also important to be engaged and driven, and have the ability to take complex tasks and break it down and deliver it. It is also necessary to have an improvement mindset and a “can do” attitude. We are looking for a Purchasing Analyst that will provide high end analysis and calculations in logistics sourcing projects and drive internal development activities and projects in Logistics Purchasing. Are you the next Purchasing Analyst to join our team? Mission The Purchasing Analyst belong to the Logistics Purchasing Development team and work with analysis and development for Logistics Purchasing. As a Purchasing Analyst, you will provide analysis and calculations in logistics sourcing projects, in close cooperation with the project manager and regional purchasers. The aim of the Purchasing Analyst group is to provide high-end analysis work to maximize the project deliveries. You will also be driving internal development activities/projects, with increasing responsibility over time. The aim of these activities/projects is to increase the efficiency and quality of how we work in the Logistics Purchasing function. In summary, you will have an important role to deliver analysis and reports and to contribute to the Logistics Purchasing function’s efficiency, quality and ultimately success. Main activities and responsibilities Providing analysis in sourcing projects In cooperation with the responsible Project Manager and the sourcing project team: Develop input to the RFI/RFQ by collecting supplier information and other relevant information and to structure and analyze the data Make analysis and calculations from the RFI/RFQ responses and price indications Consolidate an overview of all supplier proposals and scoring of the supplier responses according to a set of decision criteria’s Analyze the sourcing project content and bring ideas and challenges to the projects for potential cost improvements and to lift deviations from the commodity strategies Support development and implementation of sourcing strategies Drive internal development activities/projects Drive internal development activities/projects linked to process development, development of tools, templates, methods, benchmarks studies etc. Represent Purchasing in different foras and working groups The Purchasing Analyst may be assigned to represent Logistics Purchasing in Volvo Group foras including but not limited to CSR, environment and data analytics Analysis support to Management Supporting management with analysis and reports when needed For further information, please contact Rebecka Bryman, Director Logistics Purchasing Development, phone: +46 31 322 1428 The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines under the leading brands Volvo, Renault Trucks, Mack, UD Trucks, Eicher, SDLG, Terex Trucks, Prevost, Nova Bus, UD Bus and Volvo Penta.
