This position is also included in a recruitment base for a future position as Chief Accountant. Accounting & Company Control (ACC) is the accounting department within the Volvo Group, responsible for financial compliance in all legal entities. Financial compliance is defined as meeting all statutory requirements and internal Volvo Group requirements as described in policies, directives and in Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP). Company Control secures financial compliance in all legal entities in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders through the ACC responsible and the Chief Accountant roles. Company control also manages the local tax administration and local treasury related tasks in accordance with directions and approvals from Corporate Functions. Reviews the legal entity finance and are proactive regarding risk management, funding and capitalization while securing adherence to Volvo Group Policies, directives and instructions. Job description: You will work in close co-operation with Chief Accountant for Volvo Truck Corporation and support him in specific areas of his responsibility such as: - Deliver the complete financial statement for legal entity in the consolidation system BCS. The delivery should be aligned with relevant chapters of FPP and other guidelines (including local GAAP) for financial reporting - Drive daily control and monitoring within all relevant accounting processes - Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity - Ensure that Disclosure Checklist, or similar tool/checklist is completed - Consolidate, report and deliver monthly and annual closing of the legal entity results - Coordinate and facilitate audits for the legal entity - Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, local GAAP’s and Financial Policies and Procedures - Manage the monthly end closing process, business consolidation system reporting and preparation for annual audit - Support the different stakeholders throughout the entire closing process – not only within own function/ organisation You will be working both independently and in teams.
