Requirements M.Sc. Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Computer Engineering. Preference for 5+ years of experience in automotive development. Understand project milestones and expectations, can lead and guide the suppliers and internal team, and drive successful execution. Preference for experience in managing suppliers and/or negotiation experience. Preference for DIM/instrument cluster experience Preference for interest and knowledge in Infotainment software and hardware, including specific knowledge with one or more functional areas Ability to learn from others quickly to then teach, lead, and apply knowledge Key contributor in a team and engage effectively in cross-functional organizations Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture We are looking for a Driver Information Hardware Engineer working with one of our customers within the automotive industry in Gothenburg. You will work as a part of the Driver Information Module team, led by a Component Owner, and working closely with the Driver Information System Function Owner and DIM SW Lead. You will ensure that all hardware project milestones, requirements, and quality metrics are understood and delivered from the supplier. You will work with both internal customer resources and their suppliers to ensure that the hardware part of the component meet the needs of all stakeholders (end customer, marketing, attribute leaders, and function owners etc). The suppliers are generally located in Asia (primarily China), and you are expected to lead the team effectively through email and teleconferencing methods, as well as travel at least quarterly. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Own DIM hardware component project(s) execution, from sourcing to production to after-market Define, plan and monitor multiple car project deliverables simultaneously Ensure all hardware project deliverables are met. Manage supplier relationship and deliverables Secure that hardware components are properly validated and verified Our office is located 30 km outside of Gothenburg. The placement in case though will mainly be on site at one of our customers in central Gothenburg.
