Maintenance Technician - 30 hours per week
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our student accommodation safe, well maintained, and welcoming. You’ll handle reactive repairs, planned maintenance, painting and decorating, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the building.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).Complete painting, decorating, and general upkeep tasks.Maintain shared spaces and apartments to a high standard.Conduct health & safety compliance checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and legionella testing.Keep accurate maintenance and safety records.Support inspections, events, and wider site activities.Provide a friendly and professional service to residents, keeping them informed on maintenance updates. Skills & Experience
Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a similar role.Skilled in painting, decorating, and general repairs.Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.Strong communication and customer service skills.Trade qualifications or certifications such as NVQ or 18th Edition are desirable but not essential.
