About this role
Your Qualifications You hold a Master Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or any other relevant area. You have in-depth knowledge of ISO26262 and its application. You have at least 5 years experience in developing electronic or software systems, preferable with a combination of functional-, system-, hardware and software development for embedded systems. We would like to see that you have a minimum of 3 years experience from functional safety engineering within automotive, railway or aviation industry and experience from functional safety assessments. We want you to have a high level of personal integrity, independence and perseverance. You can convince with arguments and feel comfortable to take the lead if necessary. You consider working in a complex technical and organizational environment as a positive challenge. You are speaking and writing English fluently. Communication skills in French are seen as a merit. Your Role As Functional Safety Assessor, you will be involved in Advanced Engineering and Product Development Projects. Your responsibility will be to plan and conduct assessments as required by ISO26262. Together with the assessor team you will develop the assessment processes. More specifically, this means To assess the level of Functional Safety according to ISO26262 To do confirmation measures requires for the Functional Safety Assessment To plan the functional assessment and to report the result by recommending acceptance, conditional acceptance or rejection of the achieved level of functional safety with respect to ISO26262 You might also take part of the Functional Safety Audit of the development process With your solid functional safety background, you will also help to further develop the Safety Culture in Volvo Group Trucks Technology by improving knowledge and understanding of functional safety and in particular of ISO26262 We are looking forward to your application!
