Your role As R&D Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to strategy creation, drive strategy execution and continued evolution of our IT & Cloud portfolio. We expect you to quickly learn new technologies, adapt programs rapidly to changing business conditions and initiate and drive work environment changes (such as processes, tools, culture and leadership) to improve customer satisfaction, quality, time to market, continuous learning and overall performance. Your qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification from a Technical University Circa 10 years of relevant experience Domain experience: Packet Core, SW development, Deep knowledge of Lean & Agile methodologies, Cloud technologies, Virtualization Customer insight and relevant business understanding Business acumen and advanced communication skills I order to be able to liaise with other leaders on various levels Excellent Project and Program Management Skills, the ability to assign the right people to the right projects, understanding the various skill sets Coaching & Mentoring Skills, the ability to make people grow We are now searching for a driven leader to manage a team of developers in our Packet Core development unit. The Packet Core development unit develops mobile core network nodes with market leading functionality, designed for cost effective, reliable, and secure operations. The virtualized Packet Core portfolio addresses needs from traditional large scale mobile broadband services down to specialized small-scale solutions designed for vertical and enterprise solutions. Packet Core develops the next generation 5G Core portfolio, evolving architecture, and implementation, exploring, and engaging in new Market Segments such as Internet of Things, and driving towards the Networked Society vision. There is a unique Product and/or Solution for each target segment; Internet of Things, Mobile Broadband, Enterprise, etc. The Solutions organization consists of approx. 80 employees in four sections and is responsible for the definition, implementation, validation, and release of Products and Solutions on different cloud environments. The organization is also responsible for coordination and alignment of EPC level features, deployment, characteristics, and E2E validation. The Deployment & Validation unit consist of developers and the R&D Manager we are searching for will directly report to Head of PDG Solutions.
