Competence Profile & Qualifications You know how to work with high volume heterogeneous data, preferably with distributed open-source frameworks such as Hadoop You are knowledgeable in data storage techniques (SQL, noSQL, etc.), data structuring, data preparation/cleaning, as well as network architecture and collaborative work (git, etc.) You are comfortable working in a diverse, complex and fast-changing landscape of data sources and consumers You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation You understand the value of collaboration within teams Humor; because, at the end of the day, working at the Innovation Lab should be fun We believe the successful candidate has interest in and/or operational experience from working with data driven exploration in a global business environment, preferably within IoT and the transportation sector. Ability to think innovatively, personal credibility, integrity and creativity are crucial characteristics and experience with machine learning and advanced analytics is considered a plus. You are a social person that enjoys working with others in flexible and agile teams and have a passion for creating true customer value using data as an asset. You have a Master’s degree as the basis for your career and are fluent in English. International business experience is a merit. As Data Engineer you report to the Director of Advanced Analytics & Visualization and are a member of the Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence team, working alongside highly skilled Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Business Translators.
