Qualifications: Minimum BSc engineering education in Electric or Electronics engineering or similar Knowledge in control and regulation technology Experienced in interpreting wiring schematics and electrical function specifications Knowledge of Volvo systems and processes (CANalyzer, vision, Engineering Tool, SW-Configurator, KOLA and Protus) Fluent in English, both written and spoken Knowledge of commercial vehicles Bus driving license and ISO26262 knowledge, will be considered an asset Are you an Electrical & Electronics engineer with a passion for technical solutions and substantial knowledge of product development? The task of the group is to secure quality for various control units, electrical components and electrical power management. In our global responsibility we co-operate with our sites in India, Poland, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as with our Volvo-owned brands Prevost and Nova. We’re developing and defining the new work methods, with the intention of becoming an even higher performing team. What can we offer? You will contribute to world class development of future transport solutions. You will lead development of your specific control unit, and take on a significant role in the future development of our new bus models and optimization of present models. The role spans from system requirement specifications to supporting the team in the details. You will work in engineering projects and be involved in all the phases of the product development process, from advanced engineering to aftermarket. Main area of responsibility: You will be a part of the Electrical & Electronics Component Chassis Group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department. You will play an important role in the development of new functionality for our control units and the main responsibilities are Responsible for one or more control units with in Vehicle chassis network Contribute to develop functional descriptions and requirements for new software functions Contribute to integration and testing of functionality in complete buses Lead discussions with internal and external suppliers Secure knowledge management: capture, share and re-use knowledge Secure strategy compliance, quality and requirement fulfillment before releases Are we the perfect match?
