The department Electromobility is organized within the product development organization of Group Trucks Technology in Gothenburg. Within the Electromobility department we work with design and development of Electromobility systems and components such as energy storage, motor drives and charging solutions for Volvo group products. Electromobility is one important technology area with strong contribution in reducing the CO2 emissions in our society. Our main customers are the different brands within Volvo group. Job Description The work is performed in an international environment together with your future colleagues around the globe. As a Geometrical architect you will focus on Electromobility design and architecture in the physical dimension. The work will be performed in cooperation with colleagues within the Electromobility as well as in close cooperation with colleagues integrating the Electromobility components and systems on vehicles such as buses, trucks, boats, construction equipment and industrial machines. The Electromobility area is under strong development and we are looking for a team player that can help us as an organization to work closer together in the area of physical packaging and develop an infrastructure, were we in daily work are using CAD for continues integration of design changes and building quality into our products. As part of the job you will also help out and take on mechanical design and CAD when needed. We believe that you have previous experience from mechanical design and packaging of components/systems into the complete product. You master design tools for CAD and have been working with mechanical design and geometrical architecture. Preferable you also have experience from a work environment were agile and lean principles are applied in a practical way in daily work.
