Experience Requirements: GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting THREE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1) Operate a financial management system for tracking time and attendance; 2) assist with travel orders; 3) prepare and edit complex documents and/or reports; and 4) utilize automated software, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Power Point to prepare correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a selective placement factor as a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Major DutiesIn this position, the incumbent will serve as the training coordinator for the division. Prepares narrative and statistical data; analyzes information; identifies progress, deficiencies and problems, and conducts studies, as directed.Completes training associated metrics on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as directed. Acts as the administrator the training website, ensuring new employees are added and assigned the appropriate courses.Tracks and monitors progress of annual mandatory training, as well as, required training such as supervisory training and CES courses.Interacts with headquarter, division supervisors, and employees on training matters, answering questions and providing guidance.Manages intern progress reports to ensure program requirements are met and documentation is completed.Serves as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder for the division, ensuring all required documentation is captured.Serves as an administrative assistant to the supervisor by performing administrative and clerical duties requiring a good working knowledge of the organization and programs of the Division.Serves as clerical/administrative support staff coordinating the clerical and day-to-day administrative support activities required to accomplish the work of the Division that consists of four subordinate Branches with approximately 175+ positions.
