Qualifications: Engineering degree from university or equivalent experience Documented experience of design or support of HVAC or fluid systems Good knowledge in thermodynamics Able to provide technical specifications in the field of HVAC or fluid systems Experience in humidity equipment and humidity control is desirable Good knowledge in reading and understanding technical drawings Knowledge in facility automation control or experience in test engineering is seen as a merit Being part of investment projects and specification work for purchasing of new equipment is also seen as a merit Who are you? Volvo Powertrain is now searching for a Development Engineer within HVAC & Fluid systems to support the development of a New Powertrain Laboratory in Gothenburg Volvo is a key player within environmental friendly transportation solutions and these areas are changing rapidly. The new laboratory will become a cornerstone in supporting the development of competitive products with cutting edge technology. Position Description As a Development Engineer you will play an important part in our investment program. We can offer you an interesting and exciting experience, where you will be involved in the development of facilities and equipment to be able to meet new demands in testing of engines, transmissions, hybrids, batteries and complete drivelines. As Development Engineer you will be responsible for: Technical descriptions, specifications and act as advisor for the investment projects related to engine, transmission and electro-mobility testing Understand the product project, test object, requirements and in co-operation with equipment suppliers finding technical solutions for new equipment and methods.
