Requirements and Experience •Engineering degree or equivalent •Fully proficient in English and Swedish, other European languages is a merit •Solid and High level of understanding of distributed functionality in vehicles •C / CE drivers permit is a merit •Experience from Connected solutions and Telematics is a merit Position description The Vehicle Function Test Engineer works in the function, reliability and durability team – mainly focusing on in-vehicle function tests originating from the user perspective. Our tests are mainly performed in Sweden, on our proving ground Hällered and the surrounding area, but also shorter or longer expeditions in both Sweden and around Europe. The testing is not limited only to functions in the vehicle but also covers the functions of vehicle related services and connected solutions. Methods used are both well documented and structured but also contains a high level of exploratory testing to cover the high pace in Group Trucks Technology development of Heavy Duty Volvo Trucks. As a Vehicle Function Test Engineer you will work as an expert in this area both on your own assignments as well as together with the other team members, including drivers and mechanics. All our tests focus on the End Customer perspective either as a driver, owner or back-office system user. You have a solid interest in the automotive industry and love working with heavy duty trucks.
