QualificationsTo qualify for a Administrative Support Assistant, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-7 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Tracking status of orders, confirming receipt of supplies, and uploading documentation into electronically retrievable system; Reviewing travel vouchers for completeness and accuracy; and Submitting and following up on various payroll changes/requests B. Education As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major DutiesProvides administrative, personnel support, and data collection to the Commander and Deputy Commander and supervisors located at (continued below):DLA Distribution Sigonella, Italy, supporting DLA Distribution Djibouti, Africa and Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) Operations Livorno, Italy.Provides support as the Defense Travel Systems (DTS) coordinator, Government Purchase Card holder (GPC).Processes actions for U.S. employees through Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), Learning Management System (LMS) coordinator.Updates position descriptions as directed for local national employees, EAGLE Administrator for Time and Attendance and maintains a myriad of administrative files.Serves as the EAGLE administrator for any issues surrounding time and attendance as well as employee schedule changes within EAGLE.Coordinates with Pass and ID Office and Security Specialist to obtain base access for new employees, visitors and vendors.Serves as IT Coordinator assisting with new employee accesses, SAARS, maintenance and troubleshooting, and remedy tickets.
