As Project and Commodity buyer within Steering and Suspensions team, you will be working with some of the largest companies in the world and be part of the technical evolution in an area highly impacted by safety, quality and future innovation. THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES Steering and Suspensions Europe team is equally located between France and Sweden. We are part of Chassis Vehicle Dynamics department within Vehicle Purchasing. We are passionate, professional, supportive between each other, positive, willing to grow as individuals and as a team. ROLE DESCRIPTION You will have a regional purchasing responsibility covering projects and commodity topics and by that make sure that the segment strategy is implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously securing supplier performance on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management. An important part of the job is also to interact and collaborate with other parts of the Volvo Group and represent purchasing in related key stakeholder forums. Tasks and responsibilities: Drive all relevant activities to deliver business targets before, during and after production phase Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility Monitor, identify and mitigate suppliers risks Secure supplier selection in alignment with the Segment strategy/Segment Business Plan Secure the outcome of the sourcing in a contractual package, and that all agreements are approved and signed Execute agreements with suppliers during production and after production Be an active member in the global network of buyers of the commodity, and work closely with global segment leader Manage and negotiate product/processes changes during project, production phase, and after production phase ARE WE THE PERFECT MATCH?
