About this role
Deadline: 27th February 2026 One fully funded, full-time PhD position to work with Dr. Eleonora D’Arnese at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. The aim of this project is to develop computer vision method for medical image analysis principally in oncology or pathology, with a possible focus on generative AI, explainability, multi-modality. Candidate’s profile A good Bachelors degree (2.1 or above or international equivalent) and/or Masters degree in a relevant subject (physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related subject) Proficiency in English (both oral and written) Demonstrate interest on medical imaging domain through previous experience, courses, hackathons, personal projects or similar Strong Python knowledge and proven experience with PyTorch Previous experience in medical image analysis is highly desirable Studentship and eligibility The School funded studentship starting in the academic year 2026/27 covers: Full time PhD tuition fees for a...
